The types of iWatches that emerge in the future may surprise many fans of Apple Inc. For one thing, they will contain a heart rate monitor that uses electric signals to gauge any issues with heart health. These are called EKGs and they consist of many electrodes placed beneath the skin.
According to a report by Bloomberg, workers and technicians at Apple are busy trying to come up with an EKG heart monitoring device that could detect the condition of the wearer’s heart when the gizmo is squeezed.
Sensors would pick up signals coming in from the user’s arm and chest and put two and two together to give the right readings.
Those wearing this iWatch of the future would be forewarned and thus forearmed regarding any signs of stroke or heart attack. Therefore, treatment measures could start from the beginning thereby preventing any terminal results.
Apple has let it be known that its products are not just fitness devices but means of medical measurement. The iWatch is not necessarily an item of opulent jewelry. Rather it is a very utilitarian gadget. Apple technicians have employed the utmost rigor in making this device.
A month back, Apple partnered with Stanford University to test this device to see whether there were any errors in its readings. Since lives are at stake in case of this wearable, Apple will have to really hone the device’s capacity for EKG reading to a razor blade.
The most advanced forms of testing and tracking will be used and it will take quite some software and hardware to get the job done.
Yet Apple is persevering since it wants this iWatch to get manufactured and ready for the market in the future. The FDA’s approval has already been given for this and several other wearables by Apple.
