- Google Announces Which Android Wear Watches Will Get Oreo 8.0 Update
Google has been working on a multi-tech platform. In recent days, there has been a lot of work in the field of wearable smart devices.
Whilst the tech gurus are working on developing wearable smartphones which can be worn around your wrist, the Android watches are available by various brands. Google has been working on providing the latest Android 8.0 on the watches.
After a beta testing program, Google has finally announced which Android watches will be getting the latest Android Oreo 8.0. In an official post on their official website, Google announced that they will be upgrading smart watches included in the list with the latest Oreo 8.0.
The features that will be offered in the upgrade will include notification channel support which will provide more granular on-device control over app alerts. The upgraded background limits will aid battery life.
The “Battery saver” feature that can be manually toggled in settings and users can also control the vibration stretch of notifications. An additional feature is the disable tap-to-wake with “Touch lock.”
The smart watches for which Android Oreo 8.0 update is already available include; Fossil Q Venture, LG Watch Sport, Louis Vuitton Tambour, Michael Kors Sofie and Montblanc Summit.

Android Wear is also rolling out to seven new countries with this release including Belgium, Czech Republic, El Salvador, Honduras, Nigeria, Paraguay and Portugal. It will also be releasing with multiple language options in these areas.
