Walmart is selling the SNES Classic online right now at walmart.com. Usually, the SNES Classic would already be sold out while writing this report, but it's not. You can still grab the SNES Classic, but its buried inside a bundle.
Walmart sells the SNES Classic bundled with the Nintendo 3DS XL Galaxy and the three Mario Odyssey Amiibo. The bundle sells for $299, saving according to Walmart $16. The $299 SNES Classic Bundle is still in stock.
The return of the individual items in this SNES Classic bundle is not allowed according to a note on the listing. We have seen these expensive SNES Classic and 3DS bundles already from Dell earlier this year. Eventually, Walmart will find buyers for this SNES Classic offer. The good news here is that Walmart has new Super NES Classic inventory. The SNES Classic is due for a major online restocking. It could happen as early as Friday.
The SNES Classic has not been available online since Nov. 28, but its coming. You can right now sign-up to win a ticket to purchase a SNES Classic at ThinkGeek. Not only that, ThinkGeek also offers the NES Classic. There are only two days left to sign-up at ThinkGeek.com.
ThinkGeek says that they received a shipment of NES and SNES Classics to their warehouse. If this is already from the new NES Classic production run planned for summer of 2018 is not clear. ThinkGeek offered the random access to purchase an NES Classic also last year. Customers love this option as they don't have to hurry to try to hit F5 faster than others. The method of inviting customers to buy a SNES Classic online via email, stops shopping bots in their tracks. Find out more on the ThinkGeek sign-up page for the NES and SNES Classic sale.
The next time that the SNES Classic will be in stock online could be Friday, Dec. 8. GameStop had a 12/8/2017 on their SNES Classic listing on gamestop.com. The date has now been removed. ThinkGeek's sign-up period ends though also on Friday, according to the sign-up widget. The Super NES Classic product page on ThinkGeek says that you have time to sign-up until Sunday Dec. 10. We don't know at this point what date is correct.
We expect the SNES Classic to be in stock online not only at GameStop before the Holidays. The SNES Classic will make a return to Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Target and other stores.
As soon as the SNES Classic will be in stock online the Tracker app will send out an alert on smartphones and a tweet at @TheTrackerApp as soon as the SNES Classic will be in stock at major online retailers. Make sure you have checked "Notify Me" on the SNES Classic listing in the Tracker App.
Nintendo has so far sold over 2 million SNES Classic units to date. The SNES Classic comes bundled with an HDMI cable, a USB charging cable, two Super NES Classic Controllers, and 21 games, pre-installed and ready-to-play. The 16-bit retro console, first introduced in the 90s is also compatible with the Classic Controller and Classic Controller Pro accessories.
