- LeddarTech to Showcase the First 3D Solid-State LiDAR IC for Autonomous Driving at CES 2018
At the CES 2018, LeddarTech will introduce the eager public to its LCA2, which happens to be a one-of-a-kind 3D solid-state LiDAR and integrated circuit. The company can churn out LiDARs at the drop of a hat thanks to this integrated circuit.
This LCA2 has been nominated the CES 2018 Best of Innovation Awards Honoree in two fields: Vehicular Intelligence & Self-Driving Technology not to mention Embedded Technology. The quick industrial output of LiDARs will become a reality thanks to this setup.
These LiDARs will fit the bill as far as security, durability and price equity is concerned. By the time the year 2020 comes along, LiDARs will have become a common feature of self-driving cars in the developed world. A demo will be given by LeddarTech at the show.
Engineering odds and ends not to mention the special LCA3 will be shown in their interaction with the environment at the event when it transpires.
The first samples will roll out of factories next year. The potent and prodigious integrated circuits will generate 245,000 digitized wave forms per second. This is from over 13 billion samples.
The investment made in this venture amounts to $101 million. LeddarTech will have several additional members by its side at the CES 2018 which will be a case of the more the merrier.
CES 2018 will held in Las Vegas, Nevada from January 9-12.
