The CES 2018 is almost here. The Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) has summoned consumers to visit its wonderful stall at the show. ITRI is Taiwan’s largest high tech firm that specializes in some of the most useful and miraculous inventions on earth.
You may engage in a game of scrabble with a robot at the stall. Also you may use a portable pesticide detector all the while washing the chemical residue off farm-fresh fruits and vegetables. Besides these, there are over nine other AI, robotic and battery contraptions in the repertoire of the high tech firm.
We can start with the Intelligent Vision System for Companion Robots. This tech achievement has 3D vision, AI and built-in hand-eye coordination. It can play a board game and pour a hot beverage into a cup without spilling a single drop. As for the hand-held pesticide detector, it can catch any excess harmful chemicals on fresh produce.
Then there are RAIBA and STOBA. The former is a battery that employs AI to suit various load requirements. As for the latter, it is a special material that reduces fire hazard in batteries. DeepLook is another cloud computing technology.
Genki Bot dispels insomnia by recommending soothing tunes and dim lights to go in conjunction with the particular personality of the user. ITRI MusicAI allows a deep neural network to generate novel musical compositions.
Finally, LIM-3D and OCC make antenna systems and data communication a cinch respectively. The CES 2018 will become even more interesting thanks to these inventions which come courtesy of the institution that is ITRI.
CES 2018 will run through January 9-12 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
