Spy pictures have shown the Hyundai fuel-cell SUV which is being road-tested in Germany. The official debut of this fuel-cell vehicle, which is expected to be called FCEV, will take place at the CES in January of next year.
Hyundai showcased a concept type of the car in August. Its hydrogen powered model will be coming too though that will be later on in 2018. It will however be more economical than the ix35. That one cost 50,000 pounds and didn’t sell too well. The test vehicle is like this car too.
It has the same front end and a singular wheel design. The smooth curves define this vehicle. There are slim LED lights too on this one. The door knobs are in recesses thereby adding to the streamlined design, according to AutoExpress.
The interior space has not been photographed up until now. Hyundai’s fourth generation fuel cell will feature in this vehicle. The concept is 30% less heavier and also 9% more efficacious.
It has gotten a 20% souped up power train and also has 161 bhp. This car drives well within a 500 mile range. The hydrogen is stored in dense form.
The CES will be held in Las Vegas soon. This car will debut at this venue. This Korean vehicle will be very popular in Australia. The vehicle is linked with the Hornsdale Windfarm Project.
While the car is an EV in ths strict sense of it, its power actually comes from a hydrogen fuel cell so it is also different. The only issue with this vehicle is the infrastructure. Yet there is no problem that cannot be overcome with a little effort on the part of the parent company.
CES 2018 will be held in Las Vegas, NV. from January 9th till January 12th.
