- L.A. Noire Remastered Hits Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One
Novel and updated versions of the highly acclaimed game, L.A. Noire are now available for Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One. The game is basically a black and bleak detective story that is full of brutal savagery. It has as its provenance, the opulent Los Angeles landscape with its cheap thrills.
The time is the 1940s. The veteran and novice detective, Cole Phelps goes in search of a large number of cases which are copycat criminal acts. Crime scenes are scoured for clues, the usual suspects are questioned and the truth is sought in a city that is based on false values and everything fake.
This game was the choice of the Tribeca Film Festival. Its cinematic take on gameplay and narratology seemed to make it the ideal selection for the special occasion.
L.A. Noire features MotionScan. This technology allows full scans of the faces of the characters. You have to read between the images to get at the truth.
The Nintendo Switch version of L.A. Noire includes Joy-Con mode with gyroscopic, gesture-based controls not to mention HD rumble.
As for the type found on PS4 and Xbox One, there is visual fidelity and enhanced features among some of the novel things. L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files arrives in December of this year.
